Football season is drawing nearer and the Saskatchewan Roughriders have now announced when their 2024 training camp will take place.
The CFL club is to return to the University of Saskatchewan campus and Griffiths Stadium for three weeks of camp.
Rookies are to report on May 6 and are to take the field for the first time on May 8. Main camp is set to begin on May 12.
The annual Green and White Day will take place on May 18 at SMF Field. During the event, Riders president-CEO Craig Reynolds, general manager Jeremy O’Day and head coach Corey Mace are to give a State of the Nation address as well as answer questions from fans.
The Riders are to play two pre-season games — May 20 at home to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and May 25 against the host Edmonton Elks.
On May 26, the Riders are to return to Regina for their final week of training camp from May 27-31, with final cuts to take place on June 1.
Saskatchewan’s regular season is to kick off on June 8 in Edmonton. The home opener is June 23 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Single-game tickets go on sale May 1.
