A 41-year-old Regina man is facing a charge of attempted murder after allegedly shooting a man with a shotgun at close range.
According to police, officers were called to a home on Rae Street in the city’s North Central neighbourhood at around 8:45 p.m. on Friday.
“Information provided was that a male was shot in the arm inside the residence,” the Regina Police Service said in a statement.
“Police arrived at the residence and spoke with witnesses and the victim who said he was shot at close proximity with what was believed to be a shotgun.”

The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening, a police spokesperson said.
According to police, officers were investigating an unrelated case on Saturday when they identified the shooting suspect inside a home.
The 41-year-old man is now facing charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order. He was scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday morning.
