A Kindersley man is facing criminal charges after a fatal crash in the city over the weekend.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers learned about a crash on Railway Avenue in Kindersley at around 5 p.m. on Saturday.
At the scene, police found an injured cyclist, who was declared dead by paramedics. He’s since been identified as a 21-year-old man from Kindersley, the RCMP said. The cyclist’s family has been informed of his death, police said.

“The driver of the involved vehicle did not remain at the scene,” the Mounties said in a statement. “He was located and arrested at a residence in Kindersley approximately an hour later.”
The 20-year-old driver has been charged with impaired driving causing death and failing to stop after a collision causing death, the RCMP said.
He’s scheduled to appear in court in Kindersley in May.
