Regina is getting ready to once again live más.
Taco Bell is returning to the Queen City, with the grand opening of the restaurant on at 4440 Albert Street set for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. One customer said she’d been waiting outside the doors since 4 a.m. just to ensure she’d be first in line.
The Mexican-inspired franchise will be coming to Regina thanks to Redberry Restaurants, which projects to open 200 new restaurants across western Canada over the next decade. Redberry brought two Taco Bell locations to Saskatoon in its first foray into the province.
“The Saskatchewan community has welcomed Redberry with open arms since our acquisition of two Saskatoon locations,” Steve Pereira, Redberry’s director of Taco Bell operations, said in a statement.
“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in the bustling city of Regina and bring the Taco Bell experience to even more Saskatchewanians.”
Devon Lawrence, Taco Bell Canada’s marketing director, said there’s been strong demand for Taco Bell in the city for some time.
“We’ve heard everyone’s enthusiastic calls for a Taco Bell reunion in Regina, and our continued collaboration with Redberry has made this much-anticipated location a reality,” Lawrence said in a statement.
“The grand opening in Regina marks a significant milestone in our nationwide expansion strategy, and we’re eager to see what lies ahead.”
The Regina location includes dine-in and drive-through, as well as online ordering and delivery options.
