A Lloydminster man is dead after the truck he was driving collided with a semi on Highway 17.
According to a statement from the RCMP issued on Thursday, the two-vehicle crash happened just before noon on Tuesday morning on a stretch of the highway between 67 Street and Township Road 504, north of Lloydminster.

The driver of the truck was declared dead by paramedics at the scene, police said. The RCMP said they’re not identifying him based on a request from his family.
The semi driver was assessed by paramedics.
“Maidstone RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist,” the RCMP added.
