A boy was killed in a single-vehicle crash on a Saskatchewan highway just east of Regina on Saturday.
According to the RCMP, officers were called to the scene of the crash on Highway 1 at the Highway 624 overpass west of Emerald Park, at around 11:15 p.m.
Police, firefighters and paramedics all responded, but the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Very little information about the deceased driver was shared by police.
“He has been identified as a male youth,” the Saskatchewan RCMP said in a statement. “His family has been notified and no other details will be provided to be mindful of their privacy.”
The crash remains under police investigation, the RCMP noted, with help from a collision reconstruction expert.
