A Regina man has been arrested and charged after allegedly attacking two people with a knife while they prepared a yard sale in River Heights.
Officers were called to 17th Avenue just before noon on June 20, where they found the victims.
“Police arrived and located two injured adults who had been assaulted by an unknown male with a knife,” the Regina Police Service said in a statement. “Another victim had also been assaulted without a weapon by the male.”
Both victims were taken to hospital with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening, police said.
“My neighbour next door, the husband was standing out front with his neighbour next to him,” Carol Bell, who lives next door to the victims, told 980 CJME. “They were just standing and talking. Someone came down the street, pulled a knife and stabbed them.”
Bell said the attack left the whole neighbourhood on edge, as it’s home to many young families.

“I was so taken aback to see all this,” she said. “This is a very quiet neighbourhood.”
Police asked the public to turn over any surveillance or dash-cam footage that could help the investigation, and released a description of the suspect.
“Investigation led to a 34 year-old male, who was arrested on July 2, 2024, and subsequently charged,” the police service said.
