Three Regina children were arrested early on Saturday morning after a break-in at a business on Albert Street.
Police said officers arrived at the business just after 3:30 a.m., where they saw damage consistent with a break-in. Although the suspects had already fled when the officers arrived, police quickly spotted three youths with a shopping cart full of merchandise from the business in a nearby alley in the 400 block of Rae Street.
One of the children was arrested immediately, while the other two were tracked down and arrested with help from a police dog, which performed a track.

“An inventory count of the items recovered in the cart exceeded a retail value of $3,500,” the Regina Police Service said in a statement.
The three children – ages 12, 14 and 14 – are all charged with breaking and entering and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The suspects, who cannot be named due to provisions of Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act, are expected to appear in court next month.
