‘Council’ back in session: Roughriders bolster offensive line

The Saskatchewan Roughriders took American offensive lineman Brandon Council off their suspended list on Friday, adding him to the practice roster.
Council played 12 games for the Rider in the 2023 season, making five starts at left tackle and seven at right tackle.
The North Carolina product is being moved after Jermarcus Hardrick was hurt in the Riders’ game against B.C. last weekend. The team announced this week, he would be out long-term with a quad injury.
Council won’t play in Friday’s game. Jacob Brammer will start in place of Hardrick against the Bombers — he played some snaps in the pre-season at both left and right guard.
The Riders kick off against Winnipeg on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
