Regina police have charged a 42-year-old man from Yellow Grass after a firearms manufacturing investigation.
Regina Police Service (RPS) said in a news release on July 19 that the Regina Crime Reduction Team, with the help RCMP, executed a search warrant on a home in Yellow Grass on July 10.
RPS said police found more than 30 firearms/receivers were found (non-restricted, restricted, and prohibited) as well as boxes of various gun parts, several boxes of ammunition, a 3-D printer with filament, 3-D printed firearms, 3-D-printed prohibited magazines, a prohibited muzzle suppressor, multiple data storage devices and computers. Police also found “other firearms related items” they did not specify.
The man is facing charges that include careless storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession was unauthorized, possession of a prohibited device, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, and weapons manufacturing.
The man made his first court appearance on July 18. No further information was provided.
