A discretionary use application posted online by the City of Regina, shows a Costco Wholesale store is being proposed for the far west edge of the city.
The application has it located in the Westerra neighbourhood at 8701 Dewdney Ave., past Courtney Ave. and just at the city limit.
The plan included in the application shows a 14,800 sq. m. store with a gas bar.

This kind of development in that location requires a discretionary use application, so the city can consider how well it would fit into the area.
The application is currently in the public and technical review process and is accepting public comments until Aug. 14.
A similar application was made in 2017, and it was simply to move the Costco that was on University Park Dr. in the city, to a location further east.
