There’s been a lot of police in a small community in the southeast corner of the province.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in Alida, SK as part of an ongoing investigation at around 7 a.m. according to RCMP.
Alida is roughly two hours and 40 minutes southeast of Regina.
RCMP said “An adult female and a male youth were arrested at the scene. At this time, charges have not been laid.”
A man who lives in the village told 980 CJME that around ten cop cars, an armoured vehicle, and the SWAT team arrived early this morning.
He said they were in the north end of town all morning, and he added it appeared they were looking through some trailers.

Carnduff RCMP said the increased police presence is part of an ongoing investigation, but they would not specify what the investigation entailed.
“There is no increased risk to public safety identified at this time; if that changes, we will notify the public.”
980 CJME has called the RCMP for more details on the situation.
