A fire that burned two duplexes in Saskatoon’s Forest Grove neighbourhood ended with no injuries on Monday night.
According to the Saskatoon Fire Department, the flames had spread to a unit of a second duplex building when firefighters arrived at the scene on Grey Avenue just before 8 p.m.
An aerial ladder was set up to allow firefighters to attack the fire from above, while other firefighters used hoses to fight the fire from outside. Police and paramedics were also on the scene.

The fire was completely extinguished, the fire department said, and a search confirmed that everyone made it out safely.
“There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters,” the fire department said in a statement.
“A fire investigator is on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin and damage estimate.”
Saskatoon Fire Marshal Ryan Bradley said nine people were displaced by the fire, and encouraged all families to have a safety and evacuation plan in place in the event of a fire or another disaster.
