Police are asking drivers to avoid the scene of a serious crash at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 56, just south of Indian Head.
“The westbound lanes on Highway #1 are currently closed. Traffic is being re-routed through Indian Head for an undetermined amount of time,” the Saskatchewan RCMP said in a statement issued just after 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.

“Motorists should expect delays in the area. Please slow down and follow the instructions of emergency personnel on scene.”
The RCMP said the investigation is still in its early stages, so there was no information on injuries to share.
The Saskatchewan Highway Hotline issued an alert about the crash at 1:15 p.m., requesting that drivers reduce speed and be prepared to stop.
