A brand new report out from the Fraser Institute today, titled Education Spending in Public Schools in Canada, 2024 Edition, holds insight for Saskatchewan. A deal made between the Regina Exhibition Association Ltd. (REAL) and a new private minor hockey program, Young Guns Hockey Academy, over hockey at the Brandt Centre has senior men’s hockey players – and others – frustrated over ice time and availability. Mike Reich, owner, founder and coach of the Young Guns hockey team and Mark Burton, adult recreational hockey player, past director of player development for Hockey Regina, past chairman of City of Regina Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and former U7-U18 hockey coach, join Evan to share both sides of the story.
