A 49-year-old man from Regina is facing child pornography charges after an arrest on Thursday.
The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit said in a news release on Friday that the man was charged after a search warrant was served on a home in the city on Sept. 5.
ICE said in the release that an online investigation was started in July, and electronic devices related to the investigation were examined and seized during the search.
The man is facing charges including accessing child pornography, making available child pornography and two counts of breaching a prohibition order.
The man appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Sept. 6 was remanded to appear again on Sept. 11.
ICE investigates crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet, and is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service.
