More than two months after his death, Regina police have released the name of a teenager who was killed in the city’s Al Ritchie neighbourhood.
On Friday, police announced Jason Martin was the person killed, he was 19 years old. He had been identified by police at the time and his family was notified.
It was Saturday, June 1 when the police were called to the 2300 block of Reynolds Street about a man who was hurt. Officers were sent out around 6:30 a.m. and Martin was sent to the Regina General Hospital but he died there.
Martin’s death was Regina’s second killing in 2024 – police have deemed it a homicide.
No one has been arrested in the death, police say their officers are still investigating and are asking for help from anyone who might have any details about what happened.
