Administrator Brent Lutz told paNOW the section of the resort building that houses the kitchen, retail store and administration office has been destroyed.
The other half of the building, where the hotel and banquet rooms are located, was saved, thanks to fire crews breaking the link that connects the two sides.
In addition to Candle Lake’s Fire Department, crews from Prince Albert and Meath Park are also providing assistance.
This is a developing story and paNOW will have more information as it’s available.
