A 42-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly lighting a picnic table on fire and vandalizing a car after threatening a Regina business owner.
According to police, officers were called to a business on Hesse Bay on Friday morning.

“The victim stated the suspect had stopped by the business twice that day. The first time, he entered the building, made threats against the business owner and demanded product from the store,” the Regina Police Service explained in a statement.
“The second time, he vandalized the victim’s car and set a picnic table outside the building on fire, before fleeing the scene.”
The police service said the alleged arsonist was identified through an investigation, and he’s now facing charges of arson causing damage to property, uttering threats, mischief under $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime.
He made his first court appearance on Monday morning.
