The Saskatchewan RCMP have cancelled the dangerous person alert issued this morning after a group of people allegedly shot a driver during a carjacking north of Prince Albert this morning.
Two suspects, one male and one female, have been arrested in the Tobin Lake area, which is approximately 175 kilometres north east of Prince Albert.
Police believe there are two suspects that have not been located and are on foot in the same area.
RCMP continue to investigate and said a heavy police presence will continue in the Tobin Lake area.
Highway 123 is blocked north of Tobin Lake due to the ongoing search and the public is asked to avoid the area.
The search area is incredibly challenging with thick bush and limited cell service.
RCMP are asking the public to stay vigilant and report any tips about the incident.
It is also asking the public in areas bweteen Holbein, past Nipawin up to the Thunder Rapids area — especially along Highway 355/55 — to check video surveillance for any signs of the suspects.
The investigation is ongoing and RCMP will provide more information when it becomes available.

According to the RCMP, the shooting happened when a driver near the White Star elevator, about 10 kilometres north of the city, was approached by a vehicle with three or four men inside at around 7:30 a.m.
The adult male driver was shot and his vehicle was stolen, the RCMP said. The victim was located by a passerby at approximately 8:30 a.m., and police were called.
Prince Albert RCMP and EMS immediately responded. The man was taken to hospital.
In an update from RCMP at 5:45 p.m., the victim remains in hospital with serious injuries.
“The suspects are described as three or four males. They may be wearing black bandanas or black balaclavas. The suspects are believed to be armed with a gun and considered dangerous,” the RCMP said in a statement.
Initially, the RCMP said the suspects were driving in a 2020 white Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab with green toolbox and Saskatchewan license plate RNF 50. In an update issued at 10:43 a.m., police said the group is now believed to be travelling on foot.
“The suspects are now believed to be on foot in the Thunder Rapids area on Highway #123,” the RCMP said.
The shooting prompted a provincial emergency alert.
“If in the Thunder Rapids and surrounding area: seek immediate shelter or shelter in place and close and lock doors and windows,” the RCMP said.
“Do not leave a secure location. Be cautious of someone asking for a ride. Do not pick up hitch hikers. Do not disclose police locations. Be cautious if not in the immediate described areas.”
The situation is unfolding rapidly, the Mounties noted, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
Last week, the Saskatchewan RCMP asked the public to remain vigilant following the theft of multiple vehicles at gunpoint in the Prince Albert area.
