A serious collision on Highway #4, south of Swift Current has claimed the lives of three people.
On Nov. 5, at around 3:30 p.m., Swift Current Rural RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision.
Investigation determined that a southbound SUV and northbound car collided.
The driver and two passengers in the car were declared dead at the scene. They have been identified as a 41-year-old woman and two teenager girls ages 13 and 14.
Their families have been notified.
The adult male drive and sole occupant of the SUV was taken to hospital and his life is not at risk.
The Swift Current Rural RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
RCMP did not provide any further details if the collision was weather-related. However, officers in the area did report poor visibility and slippery roads in the area.
Highway #4 was closed but has been reopened.
