A 31-year-old man is facing a lengthy list of criminal charges after police seized more than two kilograms of cocaine on Thursday.
According to police, officers with the police drug unit, along with the SWAT and Canine units, searched homes on Shaw Street and Scarth Street. Officers tracked down a suspect at a business on Hodsman Road the same day, where he was arrested. At the time of his arrest, police said the man was carrying a kilogram of cocaine.

The investigation yielded more than two kilograms of cocaine in total, police said, along with cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Police said the 31-year-old is now charged with drug trafficking and possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, along with possession of property obtained by crime, trafficking in property obtained by crime, possession of a forged document with intent, and failing to comply with a release order.
He made his first court appearance on Friday morning.
