SunFed Produce, LLC is recalling all sizes of whole fresh American cucumbers sold between October 12th and November 26th due to possible Salmonella contamination.
They were packaged in bulk cardboard containers labelled with the “SunFed” label or in a white box or black plastic crate with a sticker that provides the implicated grower’s name, (Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.)
The produce was shipped across the United States and Canada, including to Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Calgary, and Ontario.
The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the issuance of a Food Recall Warning, when required, for these products in Canada. SunFed initiated this recall after the US Food and Drug Administration notified SunFed that the cucumbers described above were associated with reported salmonellosis illnesses between October 12 – November 15, 2024.
