Police in Regina are appealing to the public for information as officers investigate what is now considered the city’s fifth homicide case of 2024.
According to police, officers were called to the 1400 block of Argyle Street in the city’s North Central neighbourhood at around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday where they found a woman badly injured with apparent gunshot wounds. Officers provided first aid before paramedics transported the woman to a local hospital.

The woman died of her injuries early on Friday morning, the Regina Police Service said.
“This death is being treated as a homicide and the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, is continuing the investigation,” the police service said in a statement.
Police asked residents and business owners within a large area of North Central to get in touch with police if they captured any surveillance footage between Monday evening and the early morning hours on Tuesday.
The area identified by police stretches from 7th Avenue south to Dewdney Avenue, between Queen
Street and Elphinstone Street.
