A large police presence in downtown Regina was due to a weapon call and fire at an apartment building.
Around 12 police cars and a firetruck were spotted on Hamilton Street between Sask. Drive and 12th Avenue on Thursday afternoon, outside Palliser Place.
The fire department tells 980 CJME that they were responding to a minor fire at an apartment building, which set off the sprinkler system.

However, Regina Fire says their fire crews had to wait for police to give the all-clear, before entering the building.
Because of that, the apartment ended up being full of water.
It comes as police said officers responded to the apartment because there was a man with a weapon.
