A Saskatchewan player who put up juicy numbers in his rookie season in Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) is returning to Saskatoon this summer.
The Saskatoon Berries announced the re-signing of Carter Beck on Monday afternoon.

“We are very excited to have Carter back in Saskatoon for the upcoming summer. He was an impact guy for us season and brings energy to the park every day.
“The level of his day to day consistency in work ethic, attitude and competitiveness is special,” said Berries head coach Joe Carnahan.
Beck dazzled Saskatoon baseball fans in his debut season. He led the Berries with a batting average of .374. He added 11 home runs, 38 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 51 games.
Beck’s phenomenal season resulted in several awards and accolades from the WCBL.

The outfielder was named Rookie of the Year and Most Outstanding Canadian. He was also an All-Star selection, winning MVP after finishing runner-up in the Home Run Derby.
“It was a super easy decision to come back, especially with how well the Jam Fam treated us all year,” said Beck.
“I’m just excited to play in front of a packed house with the (Saskatoon fans) going nuts. Playing baseball there is some of the most fun I have ever had in my life.”
The Carnduff, Sask native played his college baseball at the University of Mary in 2024 and he will suit up for Indiana State in 2025.
