A 59-year-old man from Lintaw is dead after a crash on Highway 49 on Monday.
According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers were alerted about the crash, which happened about five kilometres east of Kelvington, at around 6 p.m.

“Investigation determined an SUV collided with a parked truck and a pedestrian on the side of the highway,” the Mounties explained in a statement.
“The pedestrian was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.”
The man who was driving the SUV didn’t report any injuries, but was taken to hospital for assessment. A woman who was inside the truck was assessed at the scene by paramedics.
“Rose Valley RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist,” the RCMP noted.
