Calling all foodies – Taste of Cathedral returns to Regina on January 25.
The annual event, a major fundraiser for the Cathedral Village Arts Festival, offers culinary samplings from 10 different restaurants and shops, along with live music by 18th Ave Duo and a silent auction featuring art, antiques, sports memorabilia and collectibles. The fun all takes place at the Canadian Italian Club on Connaught Street.

Don Young, the festival’s director, said the amount raised through last year’s event – $15,000 – shows just how much Regina’s community appreciates the arts festival.
“2024 was a crucial rebuilding year for us but people came out for a wonderful night of food and music and were incredibly generous,” Young said in a statement.
“I don’t know that we’re 100 per cent out of the woods yet but it makes my heart swell knowing there’s a community of art lovers who have our back.”
Young said the funds raised through Taste of Cathedral help the arts festival pay all of its performers each year.
“Our festival is built on the ethical principle that creativity is work, so each and every artist and musician receives an honourarium,” Young noted.
Tickets go for $25, and can be purchased through Eventbrite or at Dessart Sweets on 13th Avenue. Tasting tickets are $1 each.
This year’s event features food from Auntie Maggie’s Caribbean Meals, Blanco Cantina, the Canadian Italian Club, Cuppa T Specialty Fine Teas, Fiesta Filipino, Pause Coffee, Shannon’s Pub & Grill, Rebellion Brewing, Sinfully Sweet Cathedral Bakery and Takeaway Gourmet.
