Saskatchewan RCMP are looking for 29-year-old Glen Halkett, who escaped from the Saskatchewan Penitentiary in Prince Albert on Dec. 31.
RCMP said in a news release on Jan. 20 that Halkett was charged with fleeing from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving while prohibited on Jan. 1 and they were still looking for him.

Police said he had already been charged with escaping lawful custody and being unlawfully at large, Section 145(1), Criminal Code, in relation to the escape from the penitentiary.
The Correctional Service of Canada said in an earlier release Halkett was missing from the facility one kilometre west of Prince Albert at a 9:30 p.m. head count.
He was serving a sentence of two years, nine months and three days for crimes that include breaking and entering with intent, possession of property obtained by crime, motor vehicle theft, fleeing from police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, mischief, obstructing a police officer, possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order, and failing to attend court.
Halkett is described as 5-foot-8 and 168 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He has a tattoo on his neck and under his left eye. Police said his hair is longer than in the photo they supplied.
Police said he should not be approached.
