The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Super Bowl and Grey Cup-winning defensive lineman Shane Ray.
The 31-year-old Ray was a first-round NFL draft pick and won Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos in 2016. He spent four years with the team before moving to the CFL, joining the Toronto Argonauts in 2021.

Ray was part of Toronto’s 2022 Grey Cup championship team.
As a linebacker for the Broncos, Ray played 49 games, logging 94 tackles, 14 sacks and two forced fumbles. He also returned a fumble for a touchdown.
In two seasons with the Argos, Ray played 10 games, recording 17 tackles, six sacks and two forced fumbles.
Ray also had brief stints with the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans before signing with Saskatchewan.
Ray hails from Kansas City, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri where he was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2014.
