A 46-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges after allegedly placing GPS trackers on another person’s vehicle.
According to police, officers were first alerted back in September, when a person reported finding a pair of GPS trackers on his vehicle. Police later executed a search warrant at an apartment on 20th Street West where they found “several” more of the trackers.

The police force said six of the devices have been recovered so far, but the investigating officers believe more of the trackers are still out there. Anyone who finds a tracker on their vehicle was urged to contact the Saskatoon Police Service.
“The trackers are typically wrapped in black tape and placed inside the fender of the vehicle,” police said in a statement.
“If you discover a GPS tracker on your vehicle, investigators ask that you do not remove or alter the device. Instead, please attend to SPS Headquarters with that vehicle and tracker intact to file a report.”
The charges against the 46-year-old man include two counts each of harassment, mischief and intimidation, along with a charge of fraudulent concealment, the police force said.
The man is currently in custody and will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Feb. 5 for a bail hearing.
