Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) has charged two 32-year-old women, a 42-year-old woman and two men aged 26 and 30 after a drug trafficking investigation in the city.
SPS said in a news release on Friday the five people are facing a combined total of 27 drug trafficking and weapons-related charges after the investigation by the Guns and Gangs Unit with support from the force’s Tactical Support Unit, Crime Reduction Team, and Drug Unit.

SPS said four of those charged were arrested after a Feb. 19 traffic stop in Pleasant Hill in the area of 22nd Street and Avenue P around 5:15 p.m., while the fifth person fifth was taken into custody in the area of Junor Avenue and Makaroff Road in Westview.
Police said in the Feb. 21 news release that around 7:30 p.m. on Feb 19, a search warrant at an address in the 1100 block of Hargreaves Way in Hampton Village found 961 grams of methamphetamine, 69 grams of fentanyl, 13 grams of soft cocaine, 4.5 grams of hard cocaine, $2,755 in cash and assorted weapons.
