Mayor Chad Bachynski ran a winning campaign for just over $12,000 while former Mayor Sandra Masters, who ran the most costly mayoral campaign, came third after spending more than $60,000.
Information about campaign expenses and contributions for Regina’s municipal election was released on Friday.
Former Mayor Sandra Masters led the field with $61,798.46 in expenses and $62,101 in contributions.
The limit for mayoral candidates is $73,859 under the Regina Municipal Election Expense by-law.

Masters finished third in the mayoral race with 12,114 votes (23.12 per cent).
The majority of her expenses went toward advertising ($19,657.85) and signs ($24,960.75)
Next up was Bill Pratt who spent $43,100.40 and received $43,100.40 in contributions. Pratt finished fourth in the race with 6,362 votes (12.14 per cent).
Pratt allocated most of the money to advertising ($11,758.29), rallies ($9,580.17) and office rent ($12,927.80).
Former Ward 4 Coun. Lori Bresciani spent $24,208.99 and received the same amount in contributions.
$11,978.15 went to signs while $5,709.55 went to advertising.
Bresciani ended up with the second most votes in the race with 13,041 (24.89 per cent).
Mayor Chad Bachynski spent just $12,088.71 while receiving $8,434.12.
Bachynski ousted Masters, gaining 16,508 votes (31.50 per cent). The bulk of his expenses went to signs ($5,867.78), fundraising charges $3,395.88 and brochures ($1,504.02).
According to the report he had a surplus of $198.25 that wasn’t spent.
Bevann Fox, who finished with just 1,226 votes, spent $12,270.67 while only receiving $300.
Rod Williams spent $1,848.30 and received $1,792.99.
Shawn Sparvier spent and received $794.20 while Melina Bushenlonga spent $1,093.08 and received $0 in contributions.
Kevin Kardash, Nathaniel Hewton and Bob Pearce also spent and received $0 in contributions.
Each mayoral candidate was required to provide a $100 deposit when submitting a nomination paper to the nomination officer.
Council candidates
The spending limit for councillor candidates is $12,236.
Ward 1 Coun. Dan Rashovich spent and received $11,957.56 on his campaign – mostly going toward brochures ($9,418.79).
Ward 2 Coun. George Tsiklis spent $10,886.48 and received $13,909. Most of the funds went to advertising ($9,349.28).
Ward 3 Coun. David Froh spent $11,006.89 and received $8,750 in contributions.
Ward 4 Coun. Mark Burton declared $10,374.25 in expenses and listed $7,374.25 in contributions.
Ward 5 Coun. Sarah Turnbull listed $11,401.10 and received the same amount in contributions.
Ward 6 Coun Victoria Flores spent $4,951.13 and received $4,900.50 in contributions.
Ward 7 Coun. Shobna Radons spent and received $12,000.
Ward 8 Coun. Shanon Zachiniak received $7,768.58 and spent the same amount.
Ward 9 Coun. Jason Mancinelli listed $4,622.89 in expenses and $0 in contributions.
Ward 10 Coun. Clark Bezo spent $11,840 and received $11,915. He reported a surplus of $75.
