For the first time in six years, the Saskatchewan Rush is getting ready to host a playoff game.
The club confirmed on Friday afternoon that its first-round home playoff game will take place on Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon.

The Rush clinched a playoff spot back in March, and the team currently holds the second-best record in the National Lacrosse League at 11-5, only a single game behind the first-place Buffalo Bandits for the number one seed spot.
Tickets for the playoff game go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. The game will be single elimination, but if the Rush were to advance to the next rounds the team will play in best-of-three series in the semi-final and the final.
It still hasn’t been determined which team the Rush will play in round one of the playoffs. If the playoffs were to start today, the Rush would host the San Diego Seals, who they beat 12-8 back in February. San Diego is also tied with the Calgary Roughnecks, Colorado Mammoth and Georgia Swarm – all teams that the Rush could face in the opening round of the playoffs and teams they have beaten already this season.
Although the first playoff game is right around the corner, the Rush still have some work to do before the playoffs begin.
On Sunday, the team will face the Colorado Mammoth at 3 p.m. in Denver. The Mammoth and Rush played back on March 29 in a game where the Rush dismantled the Mammoth 17-12 in Saskatoon.
The Rush have one more home game to host on April 19, when Saskatchewan takes on the Ottawa Black Bears at SaskTel Centre at 7 p.m.
Throughout the team’s history, the Rush have a 6-2 record when it comes to hosting playoff games on home soil. Both of the Rush’s championship wins – in 2016 and 2018 – came at home.
