The Lakeview Par 3 course is scheduled to open on May 2. The Lakeview course has two mobility assistive golf carts with accessible features such as hand controls and a pivoting seat with a harness and hydraulic system. The adjustable seat allows the individual to raise the chair so that they are in a semi-standing position. There is no rental fee associated with the carts for those who require consistent use of a seated mobility device.
The city said that due to spring flooding, the opening of the Joanne Goulet Course on Kestrel Drive will be delayed and it would provide an update as soon as the course and driving range there reopens.
Advanced online bookings open on April 20 at 7 p.m, the release said. Tee times can be reserved up to five days in advance at lakelandgolfmanagement.com. All bookings remain weather-dependent and may be affected by conditions such as spring melt or frost, it added.
