Three boys and two girls are facing charges after an assault with a boy believed to be known to them.
On Saturday, just after 2 a.m. Saskatoon Police Service were called to an assault in progress at a residence in the 100 block of Avenue M South.
Officers said “a male had been physically assaulted outside and then dragged into a nearby residence,” in the initial report.

Police found the victim inside after hearing him in distress. The 16-year-old boy was sent with “serious but non-life-threatening injuries” to the hospital.
Traffic Stops leaves four arrested
Two traffic stops on Monday night have four people facing charges in Bridge City.
The first stop was just after 10 p.m. in the Spark Avenue and Grant Street area.
Saskatoon Police were given a false name by the driver and found “a loaded, sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, and additional identity documents belonging to other persons.”
In a news release, officers said once the 35-year-old man’s identity was verified, he was wanted on outstanding warrants; he has 11 charges.
Later on, just before 2 a.m. on April 22, in the 100 block of Avenue O South, police stopped another driver who provided a false name.
The 29-year-old was found to have “a shotgun, 322 grams of crack cocaine, 263 grams of methamphetamine, scales, packaging and other paraphernalia associated to drug trafficking.” In addition, his passengers, both women aged 30 and 38, were charged. All three of them have 18 charges.
