It’s the showdown of the year for Rider fans – and there’s still a chance to catch the action live.
Tickets haven’t sold out for the 2017 Labour Day Classic between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
This will be the 53rd edition of the annual CFL game, with the Riders holding a 34-18 record for the classic.
The Riders notably won the matchup 11 years in a row, until the Bombers handed the team a defeat in 2016.
Saskatchewan most recently played Winnipeg at the inaugural home opener of new Mosaic Stadium on July 1. The Bombers won 43-40 in overtime.
The green and white are coming into Sunday’s game with a revitalized offence, after easily defeating the B.C. Lions and Edmonton Eskimos to improve their record to 4-4.
The Bombers have been one of the best teams in the CFL so far in 2017, holding a 7-2 record and currently holding the second-place spot in the league.
