A 40-year-old Regina man is facing child pornography charges after a seven-month investigation.
The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) has charged Jason Michael Brown with possessing and distributing child pornography.
Police said the investigation into Brown’s activities began on Feb. 15, after ICE received a complaint of someone in Regina sending child pornography through e-mail and social media.
On June 21, officers executed a search warrant at Brown’s residence, where digital devices were seized.
Police said after a forensic examination of the devices, charges were laid against Brown. He was arrested Thursday.
Brown has been released from custody on numerous conditions and is scheduled to appear in court in Regina on Oct. 24.
