We still hear that from listeners, callers and texters to the Green Zone. Jamie Nye, Woodsy and I are together every day on CJME and CKOM to talk “sports and anything else going on.” That’s what the promotions say.
So the other day we discussed an all-time list of great comedy movies, and I couldn’t understand how “Groundhog Day” was only number four! We cracked up earlier this week while celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Muppet Show. I adored Fozzie Bear and his horrible jokes, but we laughed loudest while Woodsy did his impression of the Swedish Chef: “Today we make the chocolate mousse. Here, Moosie, Moosie, Moosie.”
Our text line goes crazy, as it does when we say Darian Durant’s career is over, Jamie Nye insists the Oakland Raiders will win the Super Bowl, or we mention Donald Trump. We like football, hockey, baseball and dozens of other sports, but that’s not exclusive to our world. Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt just raised $20 million for hurricane relief. We’re especially impressed he didn’t stick to sports.
