The City of Moose Jaw’s boil water advisory for residents of the South Hill neighbourhood and 15 Wing Moose Jaw has been lifted.
The advisory was put into effect after a water main break Friday night, near the water reservoir on South Hill at 12th Avenue Southwest between Coteau Street and Lillooet Street West. The break was large enough to affect south and west portions of South Hill.
As of Sunday, water samples had been sent to the provincial lab for testing.
The water main break was repaired over the weekend, but the boil water advisory was still in place early Monday morning.
A letter from the Water Security Agency Saskatchewan Monday afternoon said that they are “satisfied with negative bacteriological sampling and adequate chlorine residuals from samples that have been collected from the water distribution system following the repair of a water main that supplies the affected area of South Hill.”
