SGI is apologizing for a privacy breach after an employee had a look at the personal information of 18 people.
SGI says an employee at an issuer in Lestock won’t be able to use the system anymore which displays the information. The office has also been disciplined and will be on probation.
An audit is now taking place of every transaction at the office. It may lose its contract to handle SGI business if there is another breach.
The investigation into the breach began after someone made a complaint in late May.
