Police have arrested and charged a 35-year-old man after shots were fired into the Spices on Punjab restaurant in Regina over the weekend.
Officers were called to the business around 5:12 a.m. Saturday after reports of a gunshot being fired in the area.
No one was injured in the incident.
Police searched a suspect’s home under a warrant later in the morning. While no guns or ammo were found, officers said they found enough evidence to lay charges.
Tyler Rudy Valentino, a Regina man, faces one count each of assault, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and discharge of a restricted/prohibited firearm in a reckless manner.
He also faces two counts of failing to comply with recognizance.
Valentino appeared in court Friday morning.
