Five inmates at the Provincial Correctional Centre (PCC) in Saskatoon are being charged with participating in a riot.
This stems from what police call a “disturbance” Sunday night. Officers were called in to help, but the situation was resolved just after midnight without police involvement.
The men range in age from 18 to 34. All five are also charged with interfering with the lawful operation of the correctional centre.
The riot was the second incident at the PCC in less than a week. Six men were charged after a disturbance on July 21, while 15 inmates were moved to other jails.
