The debate has been East or West for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and on Saturday we will finally know which division the Riders will have to win to get to the Grey Cup.
Let’s look at the options:
Winnipeg is a place they haven’t won in for the last two season. The loudest fans in the league and – if Matt Nichols is healthy – they are dangerous, especially at home.
Ottawa is a team without some big name players on defence, and receiver Brad Sinopoli is out, but equally dangerous.
Their record looks worse than they play, which has been in some very tight games.
We all witnessed how quickly they can put points on the board in October.
Toronto may be the most dangerous of them all with their three-headed monster on offence.
Ricky Ray, James Wilder Jr. and S.J. Green are a trio that will make it difficult for any defence. They also have a top 3 defence.
So you see why it doesn’t matter to the team or the coach. What lies ahead is two tough road games before you start making Grey Cup plans.
