Three Regina residents are facing charges after drugs and weapons were discovered in a vehicle Wednesday night.
Regina police came across what they call “a disturbance” in the 1100 block of Rae Street. According to a police report, an officer approached the vehicle and noticed someone reach for something under the seat. What that person was allegedly trying to get was a gun.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a sawed off shotgun, ammunition, and other bladed weapons. A small amount of Crystal Meth was recovered as well.
Garrett Edward Nameth, 25, is facing 10 charges including possession of a weapon and possession of a scheduled substance. Jennifer Michelle Nicholls, 27, is facing three charges including two counts of possession of a weapon. Tara Sky Yahyahkeekoot, 31, is facing one charge of unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
All three made their first court appearance Friday morning.
Police are still investigating and further charges may be laid.
