With just under a month to go before Christmas, dozens of passengers waiting to board their flight to Cancun at Regina International Airport got to unwrap an early present, or presents.
It was part of WestJet’s 12 Flights of Christmas holiday promotion and 980 CJME’s Kevin Martel was there at the airport. He has more in the latest ‘Martel on the Move’.
Passengers checking in with WestJet were in a celebratory mood Tuesday morning as a number of special surprises greeted them.

Country music artist Aaron Pritchett performed a number of songs as passengers waited in line to check in.

As well, pro golfer and Weyburn’s Graham DeLaet was there to greet and take pictures for those headed to Cancun. A group of around a dozen men were coincidentally off to Mexico for a golf trip and posed with DeLaet for a photo.
