The numbers are in from the latest traffic blitz in Regina which focused on traffic enforcement and education.
The Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) is a partnership between law enforcement agencies in Saskatchewan and SGI. The blitz was conducted on Sept. 17 and 18 and it’s the third such traffic blitz held in the province this year. The other two were in Prince Albert and Yorkton.
The traffic blitz included representatives from SGI, Saskatchewan Municipal Police agencies, Saskatchewan Highways & Infrastructure, Saskatchewan Justice, Ministry of Finance, Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Police, and RCMP.
The focus was mainly on speeding, unregistered vehicles, car seats, illegal use of cell phones, and seat belt violations.

- No Operators (Suspended drivers/ invalid license): 14
