Two men have been arrested and charged after a Molotov cocktail was used to set fire to a Regina home.
Police assisted Regina Fire and Protective Services with a reported house fire around 4 a.m. on the 1600 block of Rae Street.
When police arrived, the homeowners had put out the fire but also noticed the remains of a Molotov cocktail.
An investigation determined that two men, ages 34 and 31, had gotten into a dispute with a woman.
The 34-year-old man tackled her and forced her into a vehicle that was being driven by the other man.
When the three stopped at an off-sale location, the woman left in a cab. The two men reportedly followed the cab in their vehicle to determine where the woman would be dropped off.
The two men left and then returned with a Molotov cocktail, threw it at the home but it landed outside and was ineffective.
The men left and returned with a second cocktail which was thrown at the home and caused it to catch fire.
Both men left but were located and arrested in the area of Ninth Avenue and Albert Street.
Randy William John Dyck, 34, and Kenneth James Dyck, 31, both face multiple charges — including arson with disregard for human life and forcible confinement.
Both appeared in court Friday afternoon.
