As the door closes on September, CJME Weather Specialist John Wilson says the Queen City is in for a mild October.
“We’re going to kick September to the curb in fine style and get going on October – which looks alright,” Wilson said on Wednesday morning.
So far, October’s temperatures look above normal. Wednesday should see a high of 20 C, with temperatures slowly dipping throughout the week; the weekend is expected to be cooler.
Wilson said producers should be able to stay in the field, with no precipitation in the immediate forecast.
“I don’t know about wall-to-wall sunshine but it looks pretty dry. The whole model run indicates milder than normal and dry for next week, and right through Thanksgiving, actually.”
If the models hold up, Wilson said there shouldn’t be any snow by then, either.
