Berkly Catton, Brayden Yager, Caden Price and Tanner Howe were all named.
All ages are invited to celebrate Oktoberfest at the Regina German Club Friday and Saturday.
While the beer will be flowing, organizers are also making sure there’s an opportunity for kids to take part on Saturday.
“This year will be our second year for Oktoberkinderfest,” explained event coordinator Tara Gaudet. “This is a portion from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. … it includes face painting, balloon fun, a craft table, Dino Bouncers has generously sponsored us – hopefully the weather cooperates.”
There will also be miniature ponies, goats, a character artist and a photobooth. Kids are charged a $5 admission while parents are free.
Gaudet says Oktoberfest in Germany provides fun for the whole family.
“Oktoberfest in Germany, it’s a huge event as everyone knows, but there is a fair portion. So there’s rides and everything galore for the 16 days.”
Gaudet says Oktoberkinderfest gives Regina a taste of that.
People can then get a taste of German beer and food which starts being served at 5 p.m. Saturday.
“Our beer connoisseur does a very good job of keeping up with the current beers (in Germany).”
Bottles of Erdinger Dunkel and Erdinger Weisse will be available, and Radeberger, Hacker-Pschorr Dunkel, Hacker-Pschorr Gold, Hacker-Pschorr Weisse and an Oktoberfest beer from Rebellion Brewing will be on tap.
People will also have a chance to win more than $400 worth of German spirits as part of their raffles.
Two bands will provide music throughtout Saturday night, and 400 pretzels will help keep people thirsty. There is also a full menu of food for people to enjoy including homemade potato and bacon soup, bratwurst on a bun, and pig on a bun.
Tickets are $12 for members of the German Club, and $15 for non members.
